Patricia's Collection

My name is Patricia Palotas and I have been an artist for nearly my entire life.  I am a jack of all trades so to speak, I paint - acrylics are my preferred medium, I draw, I sew, I craft but for the last few years all my artistic abilities have been put towards designing and creating jewelry.  My latest designs are in the Steampunk style.  I was lucky enough to get into this genre a few years back when I could pick up vintage pocket watches and ladies watches for some pretty low prices and I stocked up, giving me the opportunity to still offer my Steampunk jewelry at some very good prices.  Many of my Steampunk works are marketed under the name Florida Steampunk. Now the trend has really caught on and those old watch prices have soared and is becoming a deterrent.  
So, being the jack of all trades, as I stated above, I am moving onto a new trend, jewelry crafted with game pieces.  My new line is called "Let's Play" and it is Fun!  My necklaces, bracelets and key chains are created with checker and chess pieces to mahjong tiles, dominos and anything else in between. I also wire wrap gemstones and cabochons creating pendants and bracelets, which I love but honestly, my old thumbs have about given all they can for wire wrapping, but I still love it and you'll occasionally find new pieces I've created up and available on Etsy.  And don't forget to check out my flasks where alot of the backgrounds are taken from old books.  I joke that the flask is my canvas.  I embellish them with charms and found objects.
